Weather PC problem update
06/02/09 03:49 , Categories: General The problem was that the cooling fan on the processor seized - and whilst the PC has been automatically shutting down when it overheated - the net result seems to be that the PC is fried (I added a new fan yesterday but it took 6 attempts to boot and then it only worked for 20 min before crashing). I will re-instate the old Windows 98 machine sometime this week but the webcam and wifi internet access facilities will not be available until a new PC is obtained. Anyone have a Windows XP capable PC that they no longer need? Andy

I am not a sailing club member, I use the wind meter alot for kite surfing I will happily donate a 1.5 ghz xp machine with a fresh windows install on it

Alex is our hero. All felixstowe kitesurfers have been mourning the lost of the weather station. Here's hoping for a speedy fix.
