UPDATE: Wireless Internet at the Clubhouse
Wireless Internet is now available at the club again. It is now much easier to connect - you don't need to enter a username / password or reconfigure your proxy settings. The network is still secure and the connection settings will be changed periodically. If you have any connectivity problems see Mary for the latest "password".
Weather PC problem resolved
Many thanks to Luke Rudd (Rescue Captain) and Alex (kite surfer) for donating PCs. The weather station and webcam are now operational again - and the spare PC should ensure that we can avoid any prolonged service outages in the future. Andy
Weather PC problem update
The problem was that the cooling fan on the processor seized - and whilst the PC has been automatically shutting down when it overheated - the net result seems to be that the PC is fried (I added a new fan yesterday but it took 6 attempts to boot and then it only worked for 20 min before crashing). I will re-instate the old Windows 98 machine sometime this week but the webcam and wifi internet access facilities will not be available until a new PC is obtained. Anyone have a Windows XP capable PC that they no longer need? Andy
Weather PC problem ongoing
Looks like I was a little premature stating that the weather PC was working again. It managed to stay up for about 10 hours before the blue screen of death appeared - and it now wont boot. Andy
Volunteers Wanted
Volunteers are needed to help paint parts of the outside of the clubhouse over the May Bank Holiday weekend, Saturday 2nd and Sunday 3rd May. Please contact the House Secretary on 01394 - 448 761 or put your name on the list by the bar door.

Please see attached poster for details. Please book early to avoid disappointment.
Waldringfield Golf day
Please see attached details for the Waldringfield Golf day.
This annual day has been organised by WSC for the last nine years and traditionally they have invited Felixstowe members to join in. This is not a fundraiser or a really serious day, just a social event intended for golfers of all standards from beginners to those who play several times a week. Those of us from FFSC who play regularly really enjoy ourselves.
There is a prize for the overall winner and a trophy for the leading WSC member, plus prizes for longest drive, nearest the pin etc. etc.
Social Reminder - Fitting Out Supper - Saturday 4th April
Please see attached poster for details. Please book early to avoid disappointment.
