The Galley

Our restaurant is called “Thyme & Tide” – Gavin our head chef runs the kitchen/galley with Lynne as our House manager.

We are open for

  • Wednesday evening meals to our members and their guests
  • Saturday and Sunday lunches to our members, their guests and the public.

We have Lynne and Gav at the helm in our galley and bar, we are offering a warm welcome from our wonderful team, fantastic food, a wide range of drinks and the fabulous views of the River Deben and the North Sea.

The Wednesday evening menus will change every week, the Saturday menu will be snack menu and Sunday Roasts will have a set menu (see below for an example of our Sunday menu)

Our Opening times:

  • Wednesday evenings from 6pm til 9pm
  • Saturday Lunches from 12 noon til 3pm
  • Sunday Lunches from 12 noon til 3pm

Felixstowe Ferry Sailing Club is the most perfectly placed building in Old Felixstowe for, of course sailing, either a dingy, a yacht or to take the ferry to Bawdsey where the walk on the beach will unearth some beach combing treasures. Back to the sailing club which will offer an excellent choice of beers, wines and tea coffee etc. If you are hungry Thyme and Tide offer excellent meals, Sunday Lunch is a must! Check the FFSC website for opening times or better still, join the club, even as a non sailing member for all the news, events and discounts available.
