We have just had a very successful London cruise to St Katherine’s Dock with 8 member boats taking part at various times over a week. We welcomed new members Will Risdill-Smith and his lovely family to the group in their impressive trimaran.
After a delayed start the weather mainly did us proud, though sailing itself was in slightly short supply.
A variety of interesting trips took place including Kensington Gardens, St James Park, spooky Highgate Cemetery, Hampstead Heath, Canary Wharf, and other mainly outdoor outings.
St Kats is a great venue at Tower Bridge as so close to many attractions. Apart from the football final night, London was pretty quiet and getting around by Uberboat, walking and an occasional bus felt reasonably safe.
A huge thank you must go to John and Rosie Ranson for organising the trip and us….
URGENT! The next Cruise is our annual Ipswich Haven Marina adventure from Friday 13th August to Sunday 15th August..
The Ipswich cruise with optional dinner at the Last Anchor restaurant on Saturday 14th August is nearly upon us. Everyone is most welcome, by any means.
Be as sociable as you feel comfortable with, with outside dining at the Last Anchor available.
