There are still a number of cup/trophies that were awarded at the 2019 laying up that have not been returned.
Please can those who are holding trophies/cups make arrangements for their return (cleaned and engraved)  asap by phoning  Robert C A Wright (Foggs) on 01394 276711.
They are required back so as the club can carry out an audit and up date the valuation.
Many thanks for your assistance.

Cruising News

Roberto and Ian joined FFSC after trying out dinghy sailing in a Wayfarer on a Try Sailing day a couple of years ago.
They went on to take a some sailing courses, including gaining yachting experience on a yacht delivery adventure to the Mediterranean.
Having got the yachting bug, Roberto and Ian were directed this September by a club member to a Wednesday evening meal to meet any cruisers around.
The bug had really got to them, as they were pursuing the purchase of a yacht, and settled on a 32ft Catalina, an American built boat found in Southampton, called Scallywag.

Several members, over several Wednesday meals and drinks, were able to give some advice and clues on what to look for in such a valuable purchase. The deal was struck, and last weekend Scallywag arrived in Suffolk Yacht Harbour, to the delight of her proud new owners.

Cruising members sprang into action, and worked with Roberto and Ian to support them sailing their new boat, bringing it safely round to the Ferry on Monday.

Many thanks to everyone who made them so welcome.

We wish Roberto and Ian much enjoyment with their yacht, and look forward to welcoming them fully into the Cruising Section adventures in 2021.
