Laying Up Postponement

Dear Members,

Regrettably, the Commodore wishes to advise Members that following consultation with our caterers Gavin and Katie, a decision has been made to postpone our Laying Up Supper on

this Saturday 27th November.
Whilst we are conscious that this is an annual event we all really look forward to in the

sailing calendar, we feel this is a best interests decision for the caterers and FFSC as a whole. We are confident it can be rescheduled soon with a date to be confirmed.

Members with tickets can receive a full refund, but please leave email communication with kbcatering31@gmail.com until Tuesday 30th November if at all possible, thank you.

Gavin and Katie are free to recommence work on Thursday and Saturday of this week respectively, but it is felt that they require additional time to recuperate fully with our normal catering for Wednesday evening suppers and Sunday lunch menus, recommencing on

Wednesday 1st December, please continue bookings as usual. Our AGM will go ahead as planned on Sunday 28th November at 2.30pm.

The Christmas Warm Up party (with Live Band) on Saturday 4th December is unaffected,

please feel free to attend the Club bar as of Wednesday 24th November to continue to purchase tickets, this will be a really great event. Please see the previously circulated flyer for details.

Members will be pleased to know that no other operations at the Club have been adversely affected and that our bar staff and volunteers have been able to show regular negative lateral flow tests and in the case of the Commodore and Secretary, who were most at risk of transmission, a negative PCR test.
