There are many opportunities to get afloat FFSC whether it be through our sailing, yachting or powerboat sections. FFSC provides support to its members and the public through formal land/water based training courses and informal coaching and organised activities. We help you learn in a safe manner at a pace that suits you.
Sailing Pathway
Whatever your level of sailing ability, from beginner to racer, we can help you develop your skills and get the most out of this exciting sport. There is also the ability to gain qualifications and become an RYA Dinghy Instructor that allows you to work at the training centre and volunteer to support club events.
Attend one of our club open days or one of our Push The Boat Out sessions to give sailing a go for free. From this book onto one of our adult or youth sailing courses and learn to sail yourself.
Powerboat Pathway
We dont have duties at FFSC as we rely on a team of volunteers who enjoy providing safety cover on the club powerboats. The training centre offers powerboat experiences and courses. Completion of RYA powerboat training courses gives you the qualifications you need to crew and drive club powerboats to help support our club sailing calendar.
Yachting Pathway
Our large yachting section always has room for new members and yacht owners are always looking for crews to take on our club cruises up and down the coast. Crewing opportunities may also come in the form of yacht racing.
