Message from the General Committee
Many of you know that our club is run by members, which are volunteers. We, the committee as a whole, have been working tirelessly to work out a way forward for our club. With the COVID situation, this has highlighted many future issues e.g. how we run our bar. With only being able to have 30 people in the clubhouse (inc. bar & galley staff) at any one time, this is proving to be a difficult and possibly not profitable situation. This is why we are asking for voluteers to help run the bar. Our plan is to prepare and send out a questionnaire in the next few days. This will be asking the membership to give their opinions. We feel that the membership must have their say and pull together with us to make this work. We want to find out what you as a member want from your club. Please watch out for the questionnaire.

Please note there is a waiting list already!
Bar Volunteers
We are looking for volunteers to work as part of a team, when the clubhouse re-opens. Depending on the future Government guidelines for opening the club bar, the type of help we envisage is one person serving drinks, one person taking orders, and another meeting and greeting members coming into the club. Volunteers will be given full training. If you are interested please email volunteer@ffsc.co.uk advising that you would like to help when the clubhouse opens.
Work Party Volunteers We would like to say a big THANK YOU to all those members that have volunteered to get the cluhouse back into a better shape. We would especially like to thank Richard Woolf (House Secretary) for his hard work preparing, repairing and organising the working parties. We know the job is still not finished, but it is looking great so far. Photos will be published in the newsletter soon.
Wanted: 1 or 2 Hygiene monitors (Volunteer)
The General committee are looking for 1 or 2 members to take the online National Hygiene certificate and give a few hours a year, of their time, to oversee the club hygiene levels. We are looking for applicants that will be members of the club for a number of years. If you are interested, then please email volunteer@ffsc.co.uk and we will contact you with more detail. It would be really good to get some fresh faces for this job.
